Your tasks
- Develops the operation plan of the refinery, the mix of components and products based on the forecast and market requirements.
- Responsible for the technical-economic evaluation of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products.
- Provides basis of decision-making for OMV Petrom Executive Board for planned short- and mid-term investments regarding their impact on contribution margin calculated with refinery production planning optimization software (Linear Programing optimization software - AspenTech PIMS software).
- Provides basis of decision-making for changes in product specifications and product portfolio regarding their impact on contribution margin.
- Keeps refinery software (Linear Programing optimization software - AspenTech PIMS software) model continuously up2date based on existing industry standards
- Is responsible for monitoring of inventory development, plan execution and refinery production deviation management.
- Coordinates and decides continuous quality checks of the optimization model for refinery production.
- Proposes continuous LP model quality checks and lead LP model quality improvement initiatives in cooperation with refinery & feedstock (esp. crude) supply experts (e.g. definition and development of unit vectors & quality assurance for crude assay parameters).
- Provides economic evaluations for investments, technical changes and changes in feed/product streams using refinery production planning optimization software (Linear Programing optimization software - AspenTech PIMS software).
- Provides Refining investment LP calculations to support Business Cases development in collaboration with Refining Controlling and OMV RVE-P Long Term Planning & Economics.
Your profile
- Education: Master degree, technical studies in the field of chemistry / refining technology / petrochemistry.
- Relevant professional experience: 5-8 years.
- Strong knowledge of refining and petrochemical processes (3-5 years is required).
- Expert knowledge in LP Software Modelling (special know how for Linear Programing optimization software - AspenTech PIMS software needed).
- Strong knowledge for interpretation of economical result.
- Analytical thinking and excellent understanding of technical refining process and complex economic relations.
- High communication & negotiation skills.
- English - medium level, at least.
