Your Tasks

  • Manage the full lifecycle of contracts for wind, solar, or battery storage projects, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and optimizing profitability from negotiation through construction and commissioning. Key duties include actively engaging the supply chain, drafting/negotiating agreements, managing change orders, resolving disputes, and ensuring subcontractor compliance with legal and safety standards. 

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and administer prime contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify contractual risks, manage claims (extensions of time, extra costs), and develop mitigation strategies to protect company interests.
  • Change Order Management: Control the scope by managing change notifications, variations, and maintaining change order logs.
  • Supply Chain engagement: Actively approach the supply chain (mainly suppliers and contractors involved in solar, wind and BESS projects) to have full market insight of key products/services.
  • Procurement processes: Support tenders (specifications, list of bidders, comparison of bids, award recommendations, benchmarks, contract changes and adaptations).
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to statutory, environmental, and safety regulations, including maintenance of all contract documentation and obligation registers.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with engineering, procurement, legal, and construction/projects teams to ensure contractual deliverables and milestones are met.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor contract performance against budgets, tracking costs and ensuring proper billing and payment processes. 

Your Skills

  • Education: Master degree in Engineering, Business, Law, ore related field
  • Relevant professional experience: >12 years
  • Contractual & Legal knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of contract law, drafting, and administration. Specialized knowledge in energy/renewable sector agreements (e.g., FIDIC) is recommended.
  • Industry Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy projects in general and renewable technologies (wind, solar, storage) in particular and their operational characteristics.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation: Expertise in identifying and managing financial, regulatory, and operational risks associated with energy/renewable projects.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Ability to negotiate, influence, and secure favorable terms with suppliers and partners, while balancing conflicting stakeholder interests.
  • Financial & Commercial Acumen: Proficiency in financial modeling, investment analysis, and understanding the financial impact of contract terms.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead teams and manage relationships between external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills & Attention to Detail: High competence in reviewing long, complex commercial/legal documents for errors and gaps.
  • Technical Tools Proficiency: Good knowledge of project management systems.
