Your tasks

  • Plan, design, and steer the group-wide Data & AI Strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation priorities.
  • Define and maintain target-state Data & AI architectures, reference models, and blueprints for platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and cross-domain data solutions.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and integrate emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data management, advanced analytics, and AI.
  • Lead the definition of data and information lifecycle management (ILM) principles in collaboration with GDPR and Information Security functions.
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously enhance group-wide guidelines, principles, and standards for data architecture, data quality, metadata, lifecycle management, and integration processes.
  • Develop and govern the Data & AI governance framework, methodologies (e.g., DAMA), and supporting tools, ensuring their adoption across the organization.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage data and AI-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory, GDPR, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with Information Security to enforce protective measures, ensuring secure data handling, access control, and resilience.
  • Define and govern data domain models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models across domains.
  • Govern the definition, implementation, and operations of data catalogues, metadata management tools, and AI model registries.
  • Advise on and support the adoption of solutions enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML, BI, and automation, ensuring alignment with architectural principles
  • Act as a key interface between Business, IT, and Data functions, translating strategic and operational needs into concrete architectural roadmaps and solutions
  • Advise Business and IT Senior Management on the architectural implications of data-driven use cases and emerging opportunities

Your skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, Business Informatics or related field
  • Relevant professional skills: >12 years
  • More than 12 years in IT area: 5+ years of direct experience in IT Data & AI Governance, including data & AI domain frameworks, metadata management, data quality standards, and compliance, is essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA), metadata management, data catalogues, lineage and data quality standards
  • Excellent knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data engineering principles, and state‑of‑the‑art analytical platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure ML, Synapse, optionally Power BI) as well as modern patterns (e.g., lakehouse, retrieval‑augmented generation)
  • Excellent knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of systems, peripheral devices, and the most sophisticated programming techniques (e.g. Dynamic Programming, Data Structures, AI/ML, Concurrency and parallelism, etc.)
  • Proven ability to design, integrate, and govern complex data and AI architectures in large-scale, international environments
  • Advanced understanding of compliance, security, and data protection standards (including GDPR) and Responsible AI practices (e.g., EU AI Act)
  • Fluent English; German/Romanian language skills beneficial
