Your tasks
- Develop and qualify welding procedures, overseeing fabrication and repair activities in offshore environment.
- Coordinate with contractor and inspection teams, monitor welding performance during offshore maintenance campaigns.
- Support integrity management by identifying risks, recommend corrective actions ensuring that welding activities contribute to safe and reliable asset operations.
- Prepare technical documentation, support project execution, and ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and HSE requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, operations teams, and contractors to deliver cost‑effective solutions that extend asset life and safeguard performance.
- Provide welding engineering support to small-scale brownfield projects, repairs, and modifications.
- Review and interpret offshore inspection results, identifying welding degradation, damage, and structural integrity risks in close collaboration with operations and inspection teams.
- Review and approval of Inspection and Test plans and NDT results.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for welding non-conformities and failures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (API, ISO) and Romanian regulatory requirements
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and recommendations for internal and regulatory use.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy Engineering;
- Relevant professional experience: >12 years
- Minimum 12 years professional experience (preferably including international experience) in working in a multicultural environment in mature offshore environment.
- Management roles:with >8 years of leadership experience
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in offshore pipeline systems engineering, practical experience with integrity management, and the ability to balance detailed analysis with project execution needs.
- Experienced with multi discipline projects in oil&gas industry.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
