Your tasks
- The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies for the non-fuel product categories sold within fuel stations (e.g., food-to-go, beverages, FMCG, car accessories, and adjacent services). The role aims to drive profitability, optimize product assortment, and enhance customer experience in convenience store formats.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, new products, and potential suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing.
- Evaluate and select products based on quality, pricing, and customer demand, ensuring a diverse and appealing product assortment according with brand strategies, and categories role.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from initial sourcing to final delivery, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
- Develop, implement and execute category strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive sales growth.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Monitor category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Managa and drive private lable development within allocated category
- Develop and design planograms that optimize product placement and enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Ensure planograms are aligned with category strategies and merchandising principles to drive sales and profitability.
Your profile
- Master's degree: Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience: 5-7 years in buying and category management within the retail industry.
- Proven track record of successful product selection, supplier negotiation, and category growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in inventory management and purchasing software (e.g., SAP).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Management experience: at least 3 years in in managing projects
- Management competence for external and internal partners
- Good knowledge of the Retail Market
- English advanced level
