Your tasks
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting packages as well as statutory reports to the allocated OMV Group entities, prepares various financial reports requested by the allocated OMV Group entities and is involved in the preparation of reporting and verifications for joint ventures (JVs) for the allocated OMV Group entities;
- Provides advice and assistance to financial staff from other departments if necessary;
- Provides support in identifying possible risks in the area of expertise and proposes appropriate solutions to reduce/eliminate them;
- Identifies the causes and investigates in case of errors or relevant problems by offering solutions in collaboration with the department manager;
- Participates in the development of processes, work instructions and solutions for optimizing the department's activity;
- Ensures that all process work is carried out according to standards and regulations and is recorded and reported accurately and within the set deadlines;
- Is permanently informed about international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local accounting legislation; implements legislative changes that have an impact on its own activity, implements adaptation solutions for permanent compliance with legal regulations;
- Performs a variety of tasks that have clear and specified objectives, requiring knowledge of principles and techniques, e.g. coordination and provision of financial and operational information for the preparation of tax returns.
Your profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics;
- Relevant professional experience: more than 5 years general experience in financial reporting and accounting; Experience in the JV is an advantage;
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, policies and procedures;
- Specific knowledge for the preparation of financial statements, financial reporting and accounting of joint ventures (JVs);
- Knowledge and skills of using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and exposure to automated financial reporting systems;
- Knowledge in the field of exploration and production activity as well as joint ventures is an advantage;
- Knowledge and skills of use SAP4HANA is an advantage;
- Knowledge of English (written and spoken).
