Your tasks
- Own and continuously enhance the end-to-end controlling framework for OPGS (planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance steering);
- Lead annual budgeting, mid-term planning, and rolling forecast processes, ensuring alignment with Group strategy and targets;
- Ensure proactive performance steering, including identification of risks/opportunities and recommendation of corrective actions;
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting and closing processes. Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles, including all controlling adjustments (accruals, provisions, allocations);Deliver: IFRS Group reporting packages in line with OMV standards; Statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP. Lead and manage external and internal audits, ensuring high-quality deliverables and issue resolution;
- Ensure full tax compliance across all applicable taxes (corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, etc.). Oversee accurate tax calculation, reporting, and timely payments. Manage tax audits and interactions with authorities;
- Own the financial governance of GBS service delivery model, including: Intercompany contracts and SLAs, Pricing models (cost allocation, charge-out mechanisms, transparency);
- Establish and maintain a robust Internal Control System (ICS). Drive process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement. Support compliance, risk, and governance initiatives across OPGS;
- Act as key interface to Corporate Treasury. Ensure effective liquidity management;
- Manage Risk Management and Insurance with support of corporate functions;
- Drive digitalization of finance and controlling processes (automation, analytics, BI);
- Act as trusted finance partner to: OPGS General Manager, Service Line Heads, OMV Group Finance functions;
- Build and lead a high-performing finance & controlling organization.
Your profile
- Master Diploma: Finance/Accounting/Economics University Studies;
- Relevant professional experience: more than 15 years; Management roles: with >10 years of leadership experience;
- IT literate (MS OFFICE and SAP is absolutely required);
- Perfect knowledge of IFRS and good knowledge of local accounting standards in Romania;
- Excellent project/program management experience in an international environment with multidisciplinary teams, advanced expertise in innovation;
- Excellent understanding of accounting, financial controlling concepts (benchmarking, cash flow, working capital, economics calculation, cost and profit center calculation, etc.) and risk management (risk portfolios, credit risk management, etc.);
- Broad knowledge of Intercompany processes (invoicing operations, costs allocations and calculations, services management / SLA definition and calculation, ASP products & principles) as well as related IT&C areas;
- Very good understanding of political dynamics in companies and cultural differences in cross country and cross functional environment;
- Advanced expertise, interaction and innovation skills – Experienced communicator and negotiator, strong decision taker and promoter of top management decisions, Good presentation skills;
- Advanced people management, leadership and maximizing profits skills (leadership, budgeting, activity coordination & controlling): ability to form motivated, well-performing teams and to identify development needs for people in the Staff function;
- Fluency in English.
