Your tasks

• Provides functional leadership and direction for HSSE assurance, reporting and analytics activities across OMV Group;
• Strengthen Group-wide risk transparency by monitoring leading/lagging indicators, early warning mechanisms, and predictive analytics;
• Provide objective oversight to the business, ensuring robust, risk-based assurance across all OMV Group operations;
• Defines and drives the strategic roadmap for HSSE assurance, reporting and analytics across OMV Group. Accountable for defining, governing and continuously improving Group-wide HSSE assurance, reporting and performance management frameworks;
• Develop and maintain OMV Group HSSE metrics and dashboards enabling transparent, data-driven insights for executive governance;
• Drive systematic knowledge exchange and lessons-learned processes across the OMV Group;
• Maximize the use of AI, digital tools, and automation to enhance risk detection, data integrity, and decision support;
• Leads and coordinates a global network of HSSE subject matter experts and key stakeholders;
• Translates OMV Group HSSE strategy into governance mechanisms, processes and performance standards;
• Lead Process Safety Management initiatives by implementing and continuously improving safety frameworks, while driving strategic objectives, performance indicators, and risk management practices that support organizational goals;
• Provide deep technical & process safety expertise aligned with OMV’s risk profile and business priorities.

Your profile

• Master’s degree: Engineering, Safety, Process Safety or a related technical field; Additional qualifications in risk management, process safety, or HSSE leadership are a strong asset;
• Relevant professional experience: more than 15 years; Minimum of 15 years work experience in HSSE and 10 years leadership experience, including the management of multidisciplinary teams within the oil and gas, energy, or other high-hazard, highly regulated industries.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching and team building capabilities;
• Excellent ability to develop experts, build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability;
• Significant experience in the petroleum/oil & gas industry;
• Excellent communication, coordination and presentation skills;
• Knowledge of HSE Management System (ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 18000);
• Knowledge of EU legislative requirements – relevant for HSSE domain;
• Holistic understanding of strategy from corporate to field management;
• High proficiency in digital tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled decision support;
• Fluent in English.
