Your tasks

• Designs, builds, manages & optimizes scalable data pipelines supporting enterprise data and analytics initiatives within OMV Group.
• Implements deployment procedures and maintains reliable service for key data and analytics consumers.
• Applies data governance, data security and access management requirements for data pipelines and data engineering activities in alignment with OMV Petrom and OMV Group standards.
• Conducts data analysis and contributes to the implementation of complex analytical algorithms following agreed designs.
• Develops analytical contexts and data structures required to support business objectives and analytics use cases.
• Builds and maintains cloud-based data platform layers (raw, processing and serving) including appropriate data transformations.
• Monitors and troubleshoots system performance and maintains the quality, integrity and accuracy of analytical data environments.
• Designs and implements technical solutions where data consistency or data quality risks occur (e.g., AI implementations, Power Apps integrations or analytics solutions).
• Adopts & improves data engineering methods and algorithms that enhance data processing efficiency and enable discovery of new insights.
• Contributes expertise and represents the team in group‑level data and analytics forums.

Your skills

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
• Relevant professional experience: >7 years
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud services in general. 
• Specific Microsoft Azure certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate
• Advanced experience with data pipeline, workflow management and stream-processing systems tools.
• Technical expertise with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• Advanced programming skills such as Hadoop MapReduce or other big data frameworks, Java and statistical modelling like SAS tableau or R
• Advanced expertise in working with tools like: Power BI, Spotfire or Tableau
• Advanced expertise working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra 
• Excellent knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook,  Power Point, Visio)
• Ability to work with IT teams to support data collection process, integration, and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business
• Fluent in English language, capable of writing well in English and holding discussions and meetings with non-Romanian parties.
