Your tasks

• Acccountable for  technical evaluation of assigned Exploration opportunities, evaluating and  generating leads  & prospects by seismic interpretation, subsurface mapping, volumetric estimates and geological risk studies in the assigned  area and presenting these new opportunities at management & governance reviews.
• Accountable  for  evaluation of data rooms and licence opportunities by interpreting and integrating geological and geophysical subsurface data using modern workstation tools such as, but not limited to, Petrel, Landmark R5000, Petrosys and ArcGIS (expert user of core applications)
• Performs evaluations at best technical industry practise including time, velocity, depth, and attribute maps necessary for establishing structural, facies and reservoir  property models needed to de-risk exploration prospects
• Provides technical input for future  operations within the investigated opportunity  such as seismic acquisitions, seismic processing, seismic modelling  and exploration well drilling including information required for economic evaluations.
• Ensures technically up to date documentation, storage and transfer of relevant exploration data for within OMVP D and respective Authorities in co-operation with Shared Services and IT
• Supports and proceeds with identified opportunities through the internal sufsurface assurance process (Peer Assists, Peer Reviews, PAS-PAN Reviews, Ex-Coms...)
• Contributes to required  New Venture meetings with external companies and if required presents own evaluation results  and engages in a technical dialogue with potential farmin-or / seller
• Co-ordinates pro-actively contacts, maintaining relationships with wine experts and supports exchange of information within multidisciplinary teams and other departments esp. Exploration
• Mentors and technically supervizes younger and less experienced G&G staff in multidisciplinary team

Your profile

• Strong background in exploration with a proven track record as successful oilfinder
• Master degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics/ Geology
• Relevant professional experience: > 7 years
• Minimum 12 years oil industry experience preferably with international experience
• Advanced experience in data interpretation & full workflow of prospect generation
• Proven hands-on skills of diverse Exploration evaluation techniques and procedures
• Broad inventory of knowledge gained across diverse Geosciences  disciplines
• Fluent in spoken and written English language
