Your tasks

• Steer the mid- to long‑term technology design and integration direction for enabling business platforms, ensuring alignment with OMV Group’s digitalization agenda, enterprise architecture roadmaps, and evolving business priorities.
• Shape Global IT’s strategic technology landscape by evaluating global market trends, emerging platform architectures, vendor roadmaps, and disruptive integration technologies, turning insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Lead and conduct group‑wide research and structured evaluation of emerging data & AI technologies, frameworks, and methods (e.g., agentic AI) across OMV Group and OMV Petrom out of OPGS IT.
• Integrate data & AI technologies (e.g., agentic AI) with enterprise platforms (e.g., API, Data & AI Enablement, Identity & Access Management) across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise; coordinate with OT where relevant.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of integration technologies, middleware, and platform services.
• Design, document and execute integration patterns and standards supporting interoperability, data exchange and end-to-end business processes.
• Architect data‑driven and AI‑enabled platform ecosystems, ensuring platform & integration designs fully support data consistency, metadata management, and enterprise-wide information flows.
• Drive cross‑platform architectural coherence, identifying synergies, eliminating technical debt, optimizing reuse, and enabling scalable integration across business units, IT domains, and digital product teams.
• Collaborate with product, architecture and operations teams to ensure designed solutions meet security, compliance, and operational efficiency requirements.
• Ensure the operationalization and continuous improvement of IT governance, standards, controls and best practices for platform and technology management.

Your skills

• Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field
• Relevant professional experience: >9 years
• ≥ 9 years relevant experience in technology design, integration, and enterprise platforms
• Proven, enterprise‑scale experience in designing, integrating, and managing complex, hybrid solutions with measurable outcomes (reliability, scalability, cost‑to‑integrate).
• Advanced knowledge of architecture concepts (incl. technology, applications, data, business processes)
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL processes, design frameworks, and best practices
• Excellent knowledge of Automation, Analytics, AI,…
• Advanced knowledge of major cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP), cloud‑native patterns, and hybrid integration platforms at enterprise scale
• Proven ability to design, implement and govern technical solutions that span multiple technology platforms or business domains
• Strong experience with new technology evaluation, technical change management, and solution architecture
• Fluent English; German/Romanian language skills beneficial
