Your tasks

• Ensures all deliverables/requirements for the complex projects (HPHT / offshore / geothermal / key development wells/ other offshore projects) tollgates (as are defined in Well Delivery Procedure-OGMS) and well engineering gates are met;
• Coordinates well engineering activities with planning team, OMV Petrom Assets, Exploration Department, Development projects and Completion Department for the assigned drilling activities;
• Coordinate the team responsible to prepare the technical specifications for drilling equipment and services required for field development in consultation with the responsible department;
• Forecasting/ordering all drilling materials required; Identifying services and personnel required for the execution of the drilling program.
• Liaises with Subsurface and Production teams by providing drilling related input for Concept Selection and Field Development Plans as formulated in the Well Data Packs (WDP);
• Coordinate and support the team which prepares casing design, drilling fluids and cement programs on: review of  previous wells drilled; well trajectory; geological information; protection of fresh water aquifers;hydrocarbon distribution, pore pressure, geo-mechanical properties and rock strength; zonal isolation requirements;
• Evaluates and implements drilling techniques and methodologies with the aim to: reach the set well objectives, drill and case off wells faster; improve productivity and recovery; reduce non-productive time.

Your profile

• Education: University degree in Petroleum Engineering
• Relevant professional experience: >12 years 
• Technical elements within Well Engineering discipline for complex projects (deep wels, HPHT wells, offshore);
• Knowledge of digital tools specific for Well Engineering;
• Ability to work and integrate within the project team;
• Applying performance drilling concepts
• Keeps updated on developments and new technologies and share best practices and industry knowledge concerning Petrom.
• Providing full engineering support to the Well Delivery organization; responsible to actively support the permitting process by compiling all required technical documents;
• Prepares and quality check all relevant drilling engineering documentation and is custodian (program engineer) of assignedwells;
• Ensures compliance with the OMV Petrom Well Engineering Management System and local regulations for the various project phases;
