Senior Project Manager Construction

Your responsibilities

• The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will lead the end-to-end construction of PV Solar, Wind and BESS projects being accountable to deliver the projects in time, budget and scope while observing internal HSSE standards.
• Senior Project Manager (SPM) must lead project team to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases in according to the Project Management System PMS.
• Senior Project Manager (SPM) is accountable for the preparation of studies, cost estimate, project schedules, preliminary design studies, FEED (front end engineering and design) package, authority engineering, detail engineering and project execution including commissioning / start up
• Senior Project Manager (SPM) is accountable to ensure a qualitative delivery of the as-Built documentation and to ensure a proper technical as well as financial/juridical project closeout
• Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of  Projects in accordance to OMV-Petrom standards
  • Manage scope and mitigates risk across projects
  • Confront issues openly and quickly
  • Effectively communicate relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers
  • Build and keep up to date expert knowledge and convey knowledge to others
  • Work across practice and share lessons learned and best practices in PM Team
  • Complies with and enforces standard policies and procedures
  • Implement engagement review and quality assurance procedures according to the OMV-Petrom standards
  • Lead, inspire and manage internal (Petrom) and external (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Team.
• Is accountable to develop a Project Execution Plan including all relevant sub plans highlighting all pertinent measures and resources as well as HSSE requirements, risks, constraints to implement the project in accordance with the PIN/Project Charter and associated success metrics
• Structuring of project task/work packages
• Implementation of both full Contracting Plan as well as Supply Plan being finally accountable to sort out outstanding contractual issues and in case required escalates critical topics to the Project Owner
• Checking and approval of all involved and therefore relevant timesheets of contractor personnel (contingent project staff) and ensuring those hours are properly charged.
• Actively manages project risks, ensures that risk management and risk acceptance criteria are in place and defined, risk response plans are elaborated and followed up by the risk managers and owners. Ensures the successful risk mitigation strategies are highlighted as Lessons Learned and get implemented in follow up project.
• SPM is accountable to define a plan for all pertinent resources, especially staffing requirements that goes along with the defined scope of the project

Your Tasks

• Education:  University degree Bachelor in Project/Construction Management or a related engineering discipline (civil, electrical, mechanical, or energy)
• Relevant professional experience: > 9 years
• Advanced knowledge of project planning and budget administration ( more than 10 years within Project Management) with proven track records in renewable projects
• Technical knowledge regarding work, services, materials and equipment for project execution according technical processes referring  Project Design specification
• Advanced Engineering knowledge  (combined with Technical / University Education)
• Advanced insight and skills in project commercial aspect and contract administration
• Educational requirements: University Degree (technical/economical science)
• Relevant professional experience in project management: larger than 10 years
• Proven track  record of more than  EUR  80  mn Capex installed
• Successfully implementing of high complex projects
• Communication and co-operation skills, teamwork!
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
• Language: Excellent English proficiency                    
• Demonstrated excellent Project Management and Leadership skill
