Your tasks

• Account for the IT delivery, operations, and technical roadmap of the Energy Data Layer product with focus on Subsurface integration—such as Delfi modules, Petrel plug ins, OSDU ingestion components, well log management tools (WLMS), or seismic interpretation workflows—ensuring stable, scalable delivery across platforms.
• Translate  business needs (with focus on geoscience, geology, reservoir engineering, petrophysics, seismic processing) into actionable use-cases for product backlogs- for the Energy Data Layer scope- and feasible technical solutions, ensuring consistent implementation along agile methodology.
• Ensure product delivery aligns with platform strategy and subsurface IT guardrails, including architecture standards for OSDU data layers, cloud enabled seismic storage, HPC compute workflows, InfoSec policies, and portfolio/vendor strategies.
• Steer cross platform delivery execution involving data integration between Delfi, Petrel, OSDU, drilling data sources, production systems, and analytics platforms, including capacity planning, sequencing, and dependency management.
• Build and maintain together with Line manager an effective Data Layer product team with focus on subsurface; manage internal specialists (data engineers, cloud engineers, geoscience IT analysts) and external vendors delivering Delfi, OSDU, or Petrel related services—ensuring contract stewardship and escalation of delivery risks.
• Ensure compliance with information security, data protection, audit, and regulatory requirements for subsurface datasets, including controlled access to seismic data, well logs, geological models, and reservoir simulations.
• Drive stable and efficient Data Layer product operations, covering incident, problem, change, and service request management related to seismic interpretation tools, reservoir engineering platforms, and Delfi/Petrel environments.
• Govern technical debt, NFRs, and lifecycle decisions (e.g., Petrel version upgrades, OSDU component evolution, seismic storage optimization) in alignment with platform and enterprise architecture.
• Lead capability together with line manager building for product delivery teams and product owners, expanding knowledge in subsurface IT, OSDU concepts, seismic workflows, cloud native reservoir modeling capabilities, and modern data engineering practices.

Your skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Digitalization, Project Management
• Relevant professional skills: >9 years
• 9 years of experience in IT area
• Proven delivery in agile/product operating models, product lifecycle management, backlog prioritisation and cross‑functional product teams.
• Broad experience in Energy (focus on Subsurface) data integration with deep previous exposure to the industry standard solutions in Energy
• Excellent understanding of the Subsurface data types and industry standards in Energy
• Excellent skills in cloud, AI/ML, digital workflows enabling modern subsurface workflows across the enterprise
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of Azure stack and developing solutions based on Azure resources
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and developed solutions based on Microsoft Fabric
