Your tasks
- Responsible for monitoring compliance with all EU ETS regulations and requirements, mainly through:
- Development and implementation of standards/procedures/processes according to legislation and company standards;
- Verification of compliance with operational requirements and procedures established for controlling and monitoring CO2 emissions and with the requirements of quality and environmental management systems;
- Ensures the completion of CO2 transactions in implementing AHP for OMVP business divisions, together with compliance with the OMVP Risk Directive and reports on their implementation;
- Ensures the availability and traceability of documents related to CO2 certificates trading;
- Conducts monthly assessments of the situation regarding CO2 certificate allocations and CO2 emissions and prepares reports for relevant functions;
- Ensures the function of Additional Authorized Representative (AAR) as well as all related activities for all OMV Petrom accounts in the EU greenhouse gas emissions Registry;
- Responsible for periodic reporting to corporate functions regarding current and estimated costs related to compliance with ETS1 provisions;
- Compiles and maintains documentation to meet legal requirements.
- Compares data regarding CO2 emissions and energy consumption/production, as necessary;
- Participates in audits and all training sessions;
- Provides technical support on request to relevant functions.
- Responsible for verifying the correlation between calculated CO2 emissions and the number of allocated CO2 certificates and for estimating the deficit/surplus.
- Provides support for implementing the derogation stipulated in art. 10d) of the EU ETS Directive to ensure reimbursement of eligible expenses based on a signed Financing Contract
Your profile
- Master education in environmental engineering, energy or related fields
- Relevant professional experience: > 9 years
- Relevant experience (usually 5+ years) in the field of CO2 emissions management, emissions trading schemes or greenhouse gas monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in interpreting environmental legislation and specific regulations (e.g.: EU ETS, CBAM).
- Analytical, synthesis and reporting skills;
- Knowledge of MS Office package (advanced Excel);
- Advanced expertise role in special tasks or projects; works in multifunctional projects.
- Proficiency in English constitutes an advantage.
