Your tasks

• Designs, implements, and operates the enterprise Crypto & Key Management platform, including key generation, storage, rotation, revocation, and retirement, in line with OMV Group information security strategy and policies.
• Defines and maintains cryptographic key lifecycle processes, covering on‑premises and cloud services, ensuring consistent and secure usage across IT and business systems.
• Ensures compliance with internal security policies, regulatory, and audit requirements, including cryptographic standards, key length, algorithm selection, and certificate management.
• Implements operational monitoring, incident handling, and response procedures for cryptographic and key management events such as key compromise, certificate revocation, or algorithm vulnerabilities.
• Analyzes and introduces automation capabilities in cryptography and key management operations, including self‑service certificate provisioning and automated key rotation where feasible.
• Drives integration of cryptography and key management services with enterprise platforms and products (e.g. cloud services, identity, data, and infrastructure platforms).
• Evaluates emerging cryptographic technologies and threats, including preparation for quantum‑resistant algorithms and future cryptographic standards. [
• Provides expert consulting and guidance to IT, security, and application teams on cryptographic design, secure key usage, and best practices.
• Defines and maintains operating models, documentation, and knowledge base for cryptography and key management services, supporting skill development within IT.

Your skills

• Education: Master’s degree in IT & C
• Relevant professional experience: > 7 years
• A professional expert with extensive knowledge and practice in information security, cryptography, and key management platforms. Has excellent understanding of enterprise security architecture, regulatory requirements, and operational security processes, and manages complex security workflows across IT and business environments.
• Proven experience in data engineering, including data ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
• Proven experience in cryptography and key management, including key lifecycle, certificate management, and cryptographic standards.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise security architectures and security governance models.
• Experience with HSMs, key management systems (KMS), and certificate authorities.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud and hybrid cryptography services (e.g. cloud KMS, encryption services).
• Experience in security monitoring, incident handling, and response processes related to cryptographic failures.
• Very good understanding of regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements impacting cryptographic controls.
• Proficient English user (C1/C2).
