Your tasks

• Apply structured and strategic approach to managing critical environmental related issues
• Develop and implement strategic environmental plans and policies in alignment with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with other subject matter experts in the HSSE team and operational business departments
• Keep overview on major changes in environmental legislation on Romanian and EU level and advise relevant stakeholders on necessary adjustments to policies and practices while ensuring company-wide consistency
• Provide expertise for environmental impact assessments in projects during project lifecycle and operations and ensure assessment of environmental related investment need
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and community organizations, to promote environmental stewardship
• Ensure high-quality results through internal alignment with relevant stakeholders, data validation / quality checks while keeping delivery time as short as possible
• Lead and support sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the company's environmental footprint
• In collaboration with the other environmental experts in the team, develop and provide trainings (incl. training / communication materials) and guidance to employees and contractors on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices (e.g., definition of action plans)

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental / Technical Engineering
• Relevant professional experience: > 7 years
• Solid understanding of ISO 14001 requirements
• 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering, ideally within the industry
• Comprehensive understanding of environmental issues, regulations (RO / EU), and knowledge of best practices within the industry
• Strong track record in managing complex workflows across different functions and divisions
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly, combined with solid proficiency in Office 365 applications (MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for preparation of high-quality materials for the top management
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver strong results
• Language skills: excellent command of English and Romanian (written and spoken)
