Your tasks
- Plans, coordinates and executes relevant financial process within own area or responsibility e.g. preparation of tax returns, account closings in line with company policies and procedures and within defined deadlines;
- Performs, supervises and ensures the high accuracy and timely fulfilling of complex processes for accounting activities according to allocated tasks, without guidance and monitoring for daily, monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities activity, respecting the principles and rules in place, in an effective and efficient manner;
- Analyzes complex data and prepares relevant reports and statements as appropriate for various stakeholders – e.g. business heads, senior management. Performs (ad-hoc) analyses & statistics, prepares monthly reporting packages as well as reporting of financial data based on specific requests e.g. ensures delivery of reports and documents required by internal and external audit;
- Provides advice and assistance to management and other stakeholders on complex financial instruments and risks and coaches less experiences finance professionals within the teams. Understands complex situations that potentially generate errors/issues, identifies root cause and provide solution or participate in finding a solution for mitigation, in alignment with the department manager;
- Independently researches and analyzes finance discipline issues or assists more senior staff in the department on highly complex key issues. Applies independently the knowledge from area of expertise in accordance with the business requirements;
- Conducts end-to-end process analysis for implementation of new activities/business requirements. Participates and contributes with expertise into relevant projects, exploits synergies across the discipline and across department;
- Contributes to relevant system developments and ensures data maintenance/ documentation at highest standards supporting decision making processes. Designs and delivers cross functional related finance activity and systems optimization solutions according to changes in business requirements, processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures;
- Discusses and aligns with the internal stakeholders the finance discipline topics concerning daily business, respectively correlates business processes with the accounting ones. Addresses issues and works on solution proposals.
Your profile
- Master Diploma: Finance;
- Relevant professional experience: more than 7 years;
- Very good knowledge and understanding about specific oil & gas business and its business requirements, focusing on general ledger and cost accounting specificites (e.g. cash and bank transactions processing, sundry GL related postings, master data maintenance, internal orders and projects settlement, cost elements, production cost, cost allocation, profit centers and profitability analysis, production costs, SAP CO budget data etc);
- Very good knowledge of finance & accounting principles, processes, as well as IFRS knowledge and finance related legislation;
- Very good knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office;
- Very good knowledge and application of SAP transactions applicable on department level;
- Solid knowledge and understanding of related legislations/norms, internal rules/guidelines, in multiple areas/team level;
- Basic project management skills, typically project team member, ability to lead projects;
- English language skills - advanced level.
