We want to meet you!OMV Petrom Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Expert in Finance Master Data & Data Management to join our dynamic team. In this high-visibility role, you’ll act as a center of expertise, shaping the future of data management across the entire OMV Group. You’ll drive global standards, support transformation initiatives, and champion continuous improvements in data quality and operational efficiency.
Your Tasks
- Contributes to an enterprise-wide data management & governance framework: guidelines, principles, standards, roles, and operating models.
- Evaluate and support implementation and running of a metadata-management tool to enhance data lineage, cataloging, quality assurance, ownership and trust in data assets as a foundation for Data & AI use case implementation and operations.
- Ensures data compliance with organizational policies on access management and control and meets business qualification and assurance requirements. Identifies potential risks or issues in Master Data & Data Management, proposes mitigation strategies and solutions, and supports the continuous development of related internal regulations. Addresses internal and external audit findings.
- Leads and supports OMV Group wide projects in the area of Data Management. Advises project managers, business representatives and business consultants on technical questions and potential solutions related to Data Management.
- Provides reports to the Department Manager or Project Managers, focusing on defined KPIs and including analysis or root cause investigations (especially regarding Finance data quality.)
- Independently plans and adapts activities to meet given deadlines with expected quality. Supports junior colleagues in prioritizing, organizing and improving their work.
- Reports to the Team Lead / Department Manager as required. Communicates significant process changes promptly, informs relevant stakeholders and maintains relevant documentation in case of process changes and updates. Prepares queries and non-standard reports upon request accurately, completely and on time.
Your Profile
- Education: Masters Degree in Finance, Business
- Relevant professional experience: >7 years
- Solid functional knowledge of Data Management processes (ideally in oil & gas industry) and continuous optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Solid project management skills in an international environment - familiar with Lean and Agile practices.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills to support the development and set up of effective organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, information flows and control ongoing regular and project based activities.
- Change management experience and ability to create a strong professional network and maintain professional relationships across various organizational levels.
- Hands-on experience with Data Quality platforms ( esp. in Financial Data Domain)
- Hands-on experience with metadata/ data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Purview) and Power-BI. Familiarity with other modern Analytics & AI platforms.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as DAMA-DMBOK, CDMP certification, or comparable frameworks.
- Ideally knowledge of SAP (ideally MDG, S/4 HANA , SAP FI/CO) and/or other ERP systems.
- Very good English language skills, German language is an advantage.
