Your tasks

  • Serve as Technical Authority (TA) for Production Chemistry, providing expert input across operations, integrity, and HSSE.
  • Develop and manage the chemical management programs (e.g., corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors etc.).
  • Monitor and analyze production fluids to ensure quality, compatibility, and compliance.
  • Lead sampling campaigns and laboratory analysis for produced water, gas, and others, as releveant.
  • Support the flow assurance and maintenance/integrity teams in managing chemical risks (e.g., hydrate, scale, corrosion etc.).
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure chemical supply, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Holds the Chemical supply contract for the Asset.
  • Provide input to commissioning and start-up activities regarding chemical systems and procedures.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal practices.
  • Support environmental compliance through chemical reporting and interface to the waste management responsible.
  • Manage the laboratory located at the Field Support Vessel and ensure it is in good operational condition and stocked with consumables
  • Arrange laboratory training for Operations personnel.

Your profile

  • Education: University degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline
  • Relevant professional experience: >10 years
  • 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of oilfield chemistry and chemical treatment programs.
  • Expert knowledge of design envelopes associated with production chemistry
  • Expert awareness of international codes and standards relevant to production chemistry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of gas process engineering, chemical management, flow assurance, process simulation, and design practices.
  • Experience with laboratory analysis and interpretation of fluid properties.
  • Understanding of flow assurance and integrity challenges related to chemistry.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and chemical compliance.
  • Proficient in English.
