Your Tasks

  • Take part in the necessary system walkdowns offshore to progressively complete the sub-systems.  Agree punch lists and closeout of the same.
  • Ensure that the operations team is adequately engaged in the commission activities.
  • Review ongoing preventative maintenance activities being carried out by the EPC1 contractor.
  • Assist with transfer of information from the completions system to operations maintenance system.
  • Accept the critical operating drawings and documentation to allow a transfer from cold to hot commissioning at startup.
  • Make all necessary preparations for the transfer of control of work from EPC-1 to OMVP.  Ensure that the ePTW system is working offshore and establish the necessary IT equipment to make the system workable.  Roll-out training to all OMVP and EPC-1 personnel into the use of the PTW system.
  • Ensure that that CRO’s and other personnel involved in the eventual startup and operation of the platform are engaged so that there is a seamless  transfer to startup.
  • Work with the PMO facilities team to champion HSE and any initiatives.  Ensure that the operations team engage in all toolbox talks, etc. as part of the overall combined construction and commissioning team.
  • Sustain the development of the Operations Team to a “ready to operate’ status, fully trained and competent
  • Support with experience and in-depth expertise the development of the organizational model post start up
  • Support the recruitment plan for operations & promote local Romanian personnel planning, training.
  • Develops and Implements the Operations Contracting Strategy with Contracts and Procurement
  • Collaborate on the training and competence plan via access to process simulators and the digital twin components provided by the EPC contractors in conjunction with OMVPetrom
  • Sustain the integration of the operations team into the project team ensuring operations requirements implemented in the design are progressed throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project.

Your Profile

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e. Petroleum, Industrial, Mechanical) or degree in Industrial Chemistry or relevant extensive experience in a similar offshore position / mega project 
•    Relevant professional experience: 12 years
•    Medical certificate Fit for working at Height/ Fit for working on platforms
•    OPITO approved offshore medical certificate
•    BOSIET certificate (for cold climate)
•    CAEBS training
•    Track record of working as an OIM for major offshore installations and also working as a ops representative for a greenfield build.
•    Minimum of 15 years of experience in positions of responsibility on offshore installations.
•    Visible HSSE Leader
•    Proven Leadership skills in EPC Contract Environments
•    Track record in EPC project delivery as part of the Operations and Start Up Team
•    Demonstrable record in operations input to the engineering process
•    Experience in Operations Readiness and Assurance
•    Experience in Maintenance & Logistics Build Support
•    Knowledge preferred of Digital Twins or Onshore Operating and Control Environment (ICE rooms etc.)
•    Ability to support recruitment/selection of operational teams
•    Familiarity with preparation of agile operational procedures
•    Good interpersonal and analytical skills. 
•    Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
