Your tasks

  • Ensuring that the facilities design meets all Technical Safety requirements and maintains risks to as low as reasonably practicable.
  • Ensuring that all project Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with.
  • Driving the contractor to deliver the Risk Management plan and associated safety studies as per the project schedule
  • Ensuring contractor implements project and corporate standards to deliver a compliant design
  • Responding to Technical Queries from the contractor
  • Reviewing contractor documents in a timely manner and working with the contractor to resolve any issues
  • Ensuring close-out of all safety actions generated during the project life cycle
  • Supporting the contractor in resolving comments from the Independent Verification Body
  • Providing input as required to the Major Hazard Report and supporting regulator engagement where required
  • Monitoring, supervision and co-ordination of the EPC/GSA engineering in accordance with all statutory requirements and applicable engineering standards
  • Review and approval of SECE Performance Standards.
  • Ensuring that Design Philosophies, Functional Specifications (FS), Basis of Design (BoD) and other design statements are developed and verified as being consistent with project requirements and objectives.

Your profile

  • BSc, BEng or equivalent, Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent experience (i.e. specific MSc in Loss prevention).
  • Relevant professional experience: 20 years total work experience, 15 years O&G experience, 10 years position experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with Client and contractors at all levels.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
