Our business




OMV GAS, a subsidiary of OMV Group, is supplying, shipping and trading natural gas in Europe. The Dutch entity OMV Gas Marketing Trading & Finance B.V. started in 2017. It is responsible for supplying and marketing natural gas to the Dutch energy market. We are looking for a Senior Expert Key Account Management NL to strengthen our team actively in supplying natural gas in the Netherlands. You will be working in a young but experienced team, collaborating with other OMV Gas entities to achieve our mission in becoming the leading integrated Gas supplier with other OMV Gas legal entities in Austria and Germany.

Your tasks


  • Implementation and execution of sales strategy

  • Develop business directly through self-generated prospects, and through developing third party partners within focus area energy suppliers, large industrials and greenhouses.

  • Build strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders on C level and understand and keep track of changing customer needs and business environments to ensure the most appropriate services are assigned to fulfill customer's needs.

  • Develop sustainable internal business relationships within OMV group

  • Support/Participate in the sales strategy process to reach volumes & commercial targets

  • Validate new business opportunities:

  • Create proposal for development of new potentials: alternative sales

  • Channels/products based on predefined risk/return principles

  • Proposal of changes of actual or future products, gas outlets based on market and competitors analysis

  • Perform a competitor analysis, understand their strengths and weaknesses and being responsible for the customer and target group selection

  • Screen, build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the market in terms of competition, regulation, product development and customers

  • Meet company needs in terms of reporting, data management and fulfillment of targets and works actively with the CRM System

Your profile


  • University Degree: Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar field of study
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the Natural Gas sector / energy sector
  • Ability to build an excellent customer relationship and thus ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Strong ability in interpreting complex phenomena and market trends
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Dutch gas market rules and regulation
  • An empathetic person who is an excellent communicator, relating well to all kinds of people and who loves working in a team 
  • Goal and results oriented behaviour to achieve targets on time
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, preferably German
  • Excellent MS Office skills
