Your tasks
- Drive category performance by optimizing assortment, pricing, and in‑store placement to increase sales, revenue, and profitability.
- Take ownership of category KPIs, ensuring delivery of turnover and margin targets while continuously identifying improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the country shop strategy in close collaboration with the Department Manager.
- Support budgeting and planning processes by providing category insights and performance analysis.
- Manage product assortment lifecycle, including listing and delisting items, while maintaining accurate master data and planograms.
- Set and adjust pricing in line with the overall pricing strategy and market conditions.
- Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers, including leading negotiations and improving commercial terms and marketing activities.
- Plan and execute local promotions in collaboration with Marketing and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support data‑driven commercial decisions.
- Ensure efficient supply chain and inventory management while supporting smooth shop operations across the network.
Your profile
- Academic Background: University degree in Business, Economics.
- Experience: minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in retail, FMCG, or category management.
- Strong analytical, administrative and strategic thinking skills, with experience in pricing, assortment optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and conduct negotiations with solid commercial understanding.
- Languages: Fluent Hungarian and business‑level English (B2).
- Strong communication skills with cross‑functional collaboration ability, flexibility, and willingness to travel (B‑category driving licence).
