Expert CSR, Human Rights and HSSE

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Expert in Social Responsibility, Human Rights, and HSSE to drive and implement OMV Libya’s CSR and Human Rights commitments across operations and business relationships, ensuring compliance with industry standards and ethical best practices.

Your tasks

Social Responsibility:

• Manage stakeholder relations and community investment programs.
• Plan and execute community projects aligned with the Group Sustainability Framework.
• Identify local needs and develop stakeholder engagement plans.
• Oversee Community Grievance Mechanism implementation and monitor grievances.
• Maintain social risk mapping and lead communication on CSR initiatives.

Human Rights:

• Implement the Human Rights Management System and facilitate risk assessments.
• Maintain the human rights impact register and report to management.
• Identify training opportunities for capacity building and engage with affected rightsholder.

Other Responsibilities:

• Undertake additional tasks delegated by the Line Manager related to HSSE, Social Responsibility, and Human Rights.
• Represent OMV Libya in discussions with external stakeholders on social and human rights topics.
• Monitor industry trends and regulations in social responsibility and human rights to implement necessary improvements

Your profile

• Postgraduate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or relevant fields.
• Over 8 years of experience in community investment and stakeholder engagement, preferably in oil and gas.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and strong public speaking abilities.
• Team-oriented, innovative, and effective in project management
• Experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.

• OMV Career World: Expert / OMV Grade 19
• Location: Tripoli, Libya (with regular visits to field office and other locations internal and external). 
• Please note: This position is open to local nationals and does not qualify for expatriate assignment.
