Your tasks

 

  • Advance and implement inorganic geochemistry and geochemical modelling solutions across Exploration & Production and Low Carbon Business projects.
  • Design, develop, and execute geochemical models to simulate rock-fluid-gas interactions and predict scaling behavior.
  • Plan, manage, and perform advanced laboratory experiments using autoclaves, core-flood systems, and related testing methodologies.
  • Provide geochemical expertise for geothermal, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and other subsurface projects.
  • Interpret analytical and modelling results and deliver high-quality technical reports and customer-ready recommendations.
  • Initiate and lead research and development projects to expand geochemical capabilities and knowledge.
  • Integrate geochemical findings with reservoir modelling, geomechanics, and other subsurface disciplines.
  • Oversee and continuously improve the IT and digital architecture supporting geochemical modelling activities.
  • Act as the central geochemistry expert and technical focal point across the organization and laboratory environment.
  • Lead and contribute to interdisciplinary and international projects, supporting innovation, technology development, and energy transition initiatives.

Your profile

 

  • Master’s degree/Diploma in Geochemistry or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in geochemistry. 
  • Excellent expertise in geochemical modelling software and workflows (e.g., PHREEQC or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience conducting laboratory experiments related to rock-fluid-gas interactions, including autoclave and core-flood testing, supported by a strong background in hydrochemistry.
  • Proven project management experience, including preparation of industry reports and scientific publications.
  • Excellent English language skills, ability to work effectively in international and interdisciplinary teams, and willingness to undertake business travel of up to 1-2 weeks.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 77.700,-- . Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.
