Job Purpose:

To provide second-level IT support for OMV’s Benghazi office and field locations, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems. This role bridges the gap between traditional IT support and operational technology environments, contributing to the reliability of critical infrastructure and digital operations

Your tasks

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Deliver second-level support via phone, email, or in person to office and field users

  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues

  • Provide remote and on-site support for computing devices and applications

System & Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices

  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues and maintain network documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Support cybersecurity best practices and ensure policy compliance

  • Monitor and report security incidents or vulnerabilities

Operational Support & Documentation

  • Log incidents and resolutions using a ticketing system

  • Participate in system upgrades, IT/OT projects, and policy implementation

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with local and international IT teams

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams

  • Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders

Technical Proficiency

  • Utilize ticketing systems, cloud platforms, and virtualization tools

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and contribute to process improvements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: Network+, Security+, Azure, CCNA, ITIL, and cybersecurity (e.g., SSCP, CySA+).
  • Skilled in Windows/Linux, networking, cloud (Azure/AWS), virtualization, ticketing systems, and basic scripting.
  • Strong cybersecurity awareness, analytical mindset, clear communicator, team-oriented, and field-ready.
  • 2–4 years of IT support experience, ideally with IT convergence and cybersecurity project exposure.

  • Location: Benghazi, Libya / Field Libya (with regular visits to field office and other locations internal and external).
