Your tasks
- Lead end-to-end M&A transactions in the Energy / E&P sector, managing projects from preparation through closing and post‑closing, including coordination of senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise internal stakeholders on complex financial, tax, and commercial matters, ensuring accurate reflection in valuations and transaction documents (SPA/APA) for deals up to and exceeding EUR 1bn.
- Design and execute transaction structures, including tax structuring (asset vs. share deals), financing structures, deconsolidation impacts, dividend potential, and purchase price mechanisms.
- Perform and review advanced financial analyses, including complex business valuations, business plan reviews, asset economics challenges, value bridges, and earn‑out or completion account calculations and ad-hoc analyses (benchmarks, transaction multiples).
- Manage external advisors and investment banks, including selection (Big4, banks), steering advisory workstreams, and negotiating advisory and consultancy fees.
- Prepare and deliver all transaction-related documentation and presentations, including teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, and decision materials for Executive and Supervisory Boards.
- Ensure comprehensive M&A reporting and information management, maintaining deal databases, benchmarks, transaction multiples, and fee intelligence across all M&A activities.
- Support strategic portfolio development, identifying external growth opportunities, potential acquisition targets, and disposal candidates within the OMV portfolio.
- Build and maintain market intelligence and professional networks, monitoring industry trends, maintaining relationships with advisors and peers, and identifying implications for OMV’s strategy.
- Ensure cross‑functional alignment and compliance, including coordination with finance, tax, controlling, accounting, and adherence to HSSE responsibilities and company culture.
Your profile
- Master’s degree / Diplom in Economics or Business Administration.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience, including at least 10 years in M&A, corporate finance, valuation, accounting (IFRS), and transaction execution within the oil & gas / energy industry.
- Strong and proven expertise across M&A execution, corporate finance, company valuation, tax, IFRS and accounting, with the ability to apply this knowledge independently in highly complex transactions.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, multi‑stakeholder M&A projects, with strong strategic awareness, problem‑solving capability, and ability to run multiple critical issues in parallel under high pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear, decision‑relevant insights for senior management and boards; high independence, responsibility, accuracy, and conflict‑management capability.
- Very high stress tolerance, strong attention to detail, openness to learning, commitment to HSSE standards, and excellent command of English.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 114.828,-- all-in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.
