Together with its two major joint ventures - Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar™ (with TotalEnergies, in the USA) - Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,800 filling stations in ten European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Your tasks

 

  • Responsible for supporting a range of projects and initiatives across the OMV organization, guiding decision making with regards to relevant technologies, best practices, partners and solutions and then playing a steering part in the implementation.
  • Work in an agile team alongside experts in various disciplines to drive OMV’s digitilisation and automation within the infrastructure area.
  • Design secure, flexible solutions for a broad range of internal partners, from filling stations in Neustadt to drilling platforms off the coast of New Zealand.
  • Analyse complex cloud and on-prem network systems, planning, designing, and implementing solutions including selecting technologies and protocols in the hybrid environment.
  • Work alongside industry leading technology partners, challenging and improving solutions whilst ensuring best value for the OMV Group.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in network design and security and suggest new technologies and best practices (extensive training available).

Your profile

 

  • Master’s degree in IT related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Innovative thinker looking to provide first-rate technical solutions in the network area.
  • Experience and knowledge of any and all of the following technologies is an advantage: Microsoft Azure (inc. cloud firewalls, security products, DevOps), Ansible, Cisco technologies (ISE, DNA, "classic switching," Tetration), Check Point, and Barracuda firewalls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in agile teams, agile qualifications are an advantage.
