Your tasks
- Dynamic Freight Rate Management: Handle short-term freight rate inquiries with railway companies and logistic partners.
- Invoice Expertise: Verify and approve invoices for national and international rail and barge transports.
- Data Stewardship: Maintain freight data in SAP and monitor the development of transnational shipping regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate commissioned transport services and identify improvement opportunities to enhance logistics quality, transport efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Information Services: Provide internal information on freight rates and shipping guidelines.
- Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with affiliated departments to address complex transportation demands and manage corresponding tenders.
- HSSE Leadership: Serve as the HSSE focal point in primary logistics, creating, organizing, and monitoring the department’s HSSE plan, conducting supplier audits, and investigating incidents.
- Process Optimization: Assess and improve the internal invoice approval process, focusing on transformation and automation.
- Project Leadership: Act as a key member or project lead in primary logistics projects, implementing optimization concepts and developing/reporting KPIs.
- Strategic Agreements: Contribute to transport agreements with railway companies, freight forwarders, and shipping companies in collaboration with other departments.
Your profile
- University Degree Master/Diploma in economical or technical studies and min. of 5 years relevant professional experience.
- Experience in downstream oil industry and in-depth understanding of logistics business.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization.
- Profound IT skills (special focus on SAP) and good project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong drive with ability to self-organize.
- Strong understanding of HSSE regulations / compliance and you are a strong Team player.
- Fluent in English and German.
