Your tasks

 

  • Conducting process engineering planning, calculations (heat- and mass balance), and simulations for process plants (new designs as well as optimizations). 
  • Creating flow diagrams, P&ID schematics, and specify plant equipment. Contribute and participate in process safety studies (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) and design review meetings. 
  • Supporting scale-up strategy by process optimization based on experimental data. 
  • Applying process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Hysis/Plus, PetroSim, MATLAB) to model, design, and analyse complex chemical processes. 
  • Supporting senior engineers in gathering data and conducting simulations to optimise existing processes as well as support in process and equipment design for new processes and scale-up as input to process design package and process white book by sound proposals.
  • Actively contributing to innovation projects focused on process improvements, new technologies, and sustainable practices by providing research, data analysis, and technical support. 
  • Actively contributing to development and implementation of novel ideas, products, and methodologies within the chemical engineering domain. 
  • Assisting in the implementation of new technologies and methodologies under the guidance of senior team members. 
  • Collaborating with R&D teams to translate innovative concepts into practical, scalable solutions.
     

Your profile

 

  • University Master's Degree/Diploma in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in chemical process engineering, process design, concept engineering.
  • Experience in process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys) and knowledge in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat and mass transfer..
  • Proficiency in basic reactor design and mathematical software tools (e.g. Matlab, Python, R, Origin, JMP), as well as design of experiments.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced English language skills (German is a plus).
