Your tasks
-
Lead and supervise day-to-day drilling operations at the rig site and lead the rig personnel with focus on performance improvement.

Ensure full compliance with all drilling procedures, work programs, and HSSE standards.

Serve as the responsible person according to Austrian mining law (MinRoG).

Act as single point of contact in emergency situations on wellsite.

Manage abnormal pressure situations, well control, and blow‑out prevention.

Coordinate Wellsite Geologist and ensure logging, coring, and testing activities follow plan.

Supervise and coordinate rig contractor and service company personnel to ensure all work performed conforms to saftey, quality and is in accordance to well program.

Identify performance improvement opportunities and drive operational optimization.

Prepare all required wellsite reporting (daily drilling, cost, mud reports, POB lists, etc.).

Coordinate support services, personnel logistics, and equipment scheduling.
Your profile
-
Master’s Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline with minimum 7 years of experience or completed High School Degree with significantly more years of relevant field experience.

Completion of Bohrmeisterschule Celle or an equivalent drilling supervisory education.

Proven track record in drilling operations, wellsite supervision, and contractor management.

Valid IWCF well control certificate.

In-depth knowledge of HSSE principles and Austrian mining law (MinRoG).
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills in high‑pressure environments.
- Proficiency in German and English.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 96. 614,-- all-in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.The position involves working in shifts. In addition to base salary, allowances are granted during operations.
