Your tasks
- Develop, run, and assess mid and long term supply, demand, and pricing models for chemical feedstocks and products, including capex economics and cost curve development.
- Produce medium- and long term price forecasts aligned with the OMV strategic base case scenario.
- Monitor global market developments, market balances and price trends, and derive recommendations for senior leadership via KMB, MTP, and EBRT.
- Contribute chemical market expertise to long term, futures driven scenario planning.
- Support or lead ad hoc competitor analyses and market studies together with Strategic Intelligence.
- Act as the main interface for chemical strategic intelligence towards internal stakeholders (e.g., Investor Relations, Sustainability, Government Relations, Chemicals Division) and external data providers.
- Align continuously with Chemicals and Fuels Divisions to maintain a consistent OMV view on mid to long term supply, demand, and pricing.
- Ensure adherence to Global Energy Model guardrails for chemical feedstock and product outlooks across fuels, chemicals, and energy.
- Collaborate closely with Market Intelligence teams across Oil & Gas, Refined & Sustainable Products, Power & Carbon, and Macro & Trend Analysis to deliver consistent market insights.
- Prepare and align presentations and written analyses for Executive Board and Senior Management.
Your profile

Master’s degree or Diploma in Engineering/Technical fields or Economics.

At least 9 years of relevant professional experience in the chemical/petrochemical market.

Strong expertise in petrochemical markets and in the transition from fossil to sustainable value chains; senior‑level experience in chemical market analysis.

Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication, and leadership skills; entrepreneurial and lateral thinking; proactive and flexible working style.

Strong networking abilities, team‑orientation, high achievement orientation, and integrity‑driven mindset.

Fluency in English.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 96.614,-- all-in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.
