OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

 

Our business

Your tasks

 

  • Responsible for financial analysis, reports, and budget forecasts for a specific countries & Division total. Delivers and constantly improves efficient, reliable and timely core controlling activities, including financial reporting, budgeting and financial planning.
  • Responsible as main Controlling focal point for certain subunits of the Energy division and responsible to implement a value-focuses Controlling approach. 
  • Prevents inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting. 
  • Analyses and pro-actively challenges expenditures from an economic perspective, understands all value drivers and comes up with improvement measures. 
  • Demonstrates a strong service orientation towards the Energy finance organisation as well as to the Value Centers. 
  • Drives sustainable value creation through balanced challenging and professional support and design, review, implement and support with regards to Finance activities. 
  • Provides link between and actively manages consolidation of different value centers to come up with one final consolidated divisional picture, including correct allocation of budgets and KPIs. 
  • Align with other divisional Finance departments (Accounting, Controlling, Economics & Planning) regarding any functional support.

Your profile

 

  • You have a Master Degree in Controlling, Economics or Finance.
  • You have minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Controlling & Finance tools (TM1, HFM, Palantir, SAP). 
  • Knowledge about state of the art controlling reporting and how to apply them in a corporate environment. 
  • Understanding of financial management, fiscal regimes, commercial terms and contracts as well as planning processes. 
  • High accuracy in providing correct information and figures. 
  • Excellent communication skills, self confident appearance and assertiveness and high stress tolerance, conflict management ability and load capacity. 
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of technical/economic planning and evaluation tools. 
  • Fluency in English.
